The Journey

Ok. Today marks the last night for us in Florida. We have our bed and Ben's bed's on the floor to sleep on and a tv on the coffee table to watch. That's it. Everthing is packed away in boxes and ready for the trip to PA.

We were woke up at 730am by our cell phone alarm clocks. At ten minutes to 8am our neighbors are knocking at the door. They gather all of their new belongings from our apartment and take off for their new home. We then start to putz around finishing up last minute things. I take off to McDonald's for breakfast. Ben ate ok...could've been better. We got everything wrapped up by 2pm and then Mike and Jon took a load of boxes to mom's and then Mike fixed her computer for her one last time. They said their good byes. By the time Mike got home, dad was pulling up. We got showers and went to dinner for Mike's birthday. We ate way too much but we had a good time. When we got home we loaded the top of dad's car with some boxes of neccessities. That was a hoot...pictures to come later. Then the neighbors came by to finish up pillaging around. Oh, Scott was by to pick up a headboard from me that I borrowed from him over 6 years ago!

So we get inside, the neighbors are gone now, its just the three of us. We get Ben layed down after Blue's Clues. He passes right out from all the excitment of the day. We settle in to watch Gilmore Girls, I was laying on my tummy behind Mike who was sitting on the floor, and I was watching him post on FB. He was talking to my boys dad's mom...lol...they get along so well. They rave about his coffee! They used to come over and have coffee with us from time to time when we lived in NW Bradenton. My ex-mother-in-law is such a nice, kind hearted lady. Too bad we didn't get along as well while I was married to her son...lol! Anyway, Mike has really enjoyed the many conversations they have had over the years. We are closer to her than her own son! I don't see what problem he could possibily have with his mom. She loves him and misses her grandkids terribly but he won't give her the time of day. What a jackass!!!

Anyway, a bit later the neighbors came back to take out their plundered treasures. They are gone for good now though. But they will be back in the morning to finish us off! We have started Gilmore Girls over 3 times now...we will finish it eventually.
