Ben just came up to me and asked if he could have broccoli and carrots for dinner (carrot sticks and steamed broccoli).

Gran Turino's are nice cars but I wasnt crazy about the movie. It was a good story, I enjoyed it but it WAS Eastwood, the acting was "eh" It was worth watching.

Finally watching Gran Turino...we'll see.

A "Thanksgiving Day" sandwich idea

Someone, somewhere has already done this I'm sure, but while I was getting my sliced Thanksgiving style turkey from the deli I thought "some sliced jellied cranberry would be good on that!"

So, I am going to try and think of what would be good on a Thanksgiving sandwich. This is what I have so far.

A hoagie roll with thin sliced turkey, thin sliced jellied cranberry and thin sliced cornbread dressing. Maybe some light mayo? Not sure where to go with it from there. Post suggestions if you have them.

The dentist

I left the house at 130 for my 230 dentist appointment. (cut me some slack, still use to having to make allowances for traffic.) I got to the dentist office at 2. I checked in and they had me in the back withing 10 minutes! I was shaking. The xray tech from yesterday stayed with me the whole time :) The dentist used the novacaine on the cotton swab first to numb my gums, then he used the GIANT syringe to inject novacaine into my gums and then he injected anesthesia all around my tooth that was being pullled. He let the medication absorb for about 5 minutes between procedures. He was really good. After the last injection the started on the tooth. I was so tense and making all kinds of groanie noises. I assured him that I wasn't in any pain and he continued. It felt so wierd. I could feel the tooth popping and cracking but there was no pain. A TON of pressure but no pain. I was scared to death. I thought he was going to crack all my other teeth getting that ONE out. I was shaking so bad the entire time. When the tooth finally came out, I started crying. The numbness is slowly wearing off now. I have to eat soft foods for the next 24 hours and continue with my antibiotics/pain meds til they are gone.

Man, what a day...I was home by 3 =)

Got home from the dentist @ 3. Hopefully all the pain left with that tooth. I will have to wait for the computer to give a better update.

I am going to die this summer without a/c!
